Bella is our sweet girl with minimal function of her back legs.   She was found in the middle of nowhere by a man that works in the powerline business.  When she made it to the rescue she was covered in fleas, ticks, and worms.   We are not sure if her paralisis was caused by an accident or if a human injured her and left her for dead.   Beside her difficulties with her back legs, Bella is also incontinent.  She has very little control over her potty.  Especially when she is sleeping.  We have big plans for this precious girl, but she has a long road ahead of her and a lot of fighting to do.  We have yet to really concentrate on her legs because she seems to be fighting infections and illness all the time.  It seems Bella's immune system is also compromised, so she has to be monitored all the time.  Her story is just beginning and will not be easy, but we are committed to making her time with us as special and easy as we can!  We are so thankful Bella found her way to Safe in Austin!!
